Work Rest Blades
Workrest blades –Also referred as guide plates, guideways or rest plates. Theworkpiece support in rotationally symmetric centerless grinding is referred to as a “work rest blade.” ‘Work rest blades’ are often constructed of tungsten carbide and mild steel.
Throughfeed Blades
In throughfeed type of grinding , the work is ‘automatically’ fed ‘through’ continuously between the grinding and the regulating wheels which have already been set with particular gap.

Infeed / Plunge Feed Workrest Blades
In this type of grinding, the work does not move axially as in the throughfeed method, but it is kept supported against an end stop in a fixed position and resting in the veefromed by the inclined top surface of the work blade and the regulating wheel.
